The snow-white travertines, formed over thousands of years by calcium-rich thermal waters, have given Pamukkale its natural name. These terraced pools, cascading step by step and filled with turquoise water, are a rare natural wonder found almost nowhere else in the world. Walking barefoot through the warm waters is the most delightful way to experience this place.
Just above the travertines lies Hierapolis, the ancient world’s famous spa city. You can swim in the Antique Pool, where ancient columns lie submerged beneath the water, and explore the magnificent ancient theater and the vast necropolis. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988, Pamukkale is about 190 km from our hotel, making it a wonderful option for a full day trip.
