Ancient City of Ephesus
One of the best-preserved cities of the ancient world. The Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre seating around 25,000, the marble-paved Curetes Street and the Temple of Hadrian are the city's landmarks. Ephesus has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2015.
Tip: In summer, visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon; bring comfortable shoes, a hat and water. A visit takes 2–3 hours on average.

Basilica of St. John
The remains of the cross-shaped, multi-domed basilica built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian and Theodora over the site believed to be the tomb of St. John, on Ayasuluk Hill. Ayasuluk Castle at the summit and the view over the plain are the highlights of the visit.
Tip: Go toward sunset; the Selçuk plain and the İsa Bey Mosque look their best at this hour.

Şirince Village
A historic village 8 km from Selçuk, famous for its stone houses and narrow streets among vineyards and olive groves. It is known for its fruit wines, local handicrafts and village breakfast. Şirince was named among the Best Tourism Villages in the World 2023 by the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Tip: Go in the morning and have a village breakfast; on the way back, enjoy the view along the vineyard road.

House of the Virgin Mary

House of the Virgin Mary
On the wooded slope of Mount Bülbül, the stone house where the Virgin Mary is believed to have spent her last years. It is an important pilgrimage site visited by both Christians and Muslims and is part of the Ephesus World Heritage site. It is known for its wishing wall and fountains believed to have healing powers.
Tip: It is on the same road as the upper gate of Ephesus; you can plan both visits for the same day.

Selçuk
Selçuk, where our hotel is located, is a town living within history, with the 14th-century İsa Bey Mosque, the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Ephesus Museum, which displays finds from Ephesus. Its aqueducts topped with stork nests and lively weekly market are the town's best-loved features.
